Favorite Sketchbook Moments

I rarely have the courage to share my sketchbook art but these were the moments where I felt so excited about their outcomes. Lately, I have been experimental and playful with several materials while also practicing figure studies and composition.
At this point I was in a bit of a rut with my paintings. I felt so uncertain about the direction of where they were going and if whether I loved them or hated them. So I needed a break from the big pieces and took myself back to my handy dandy sketchbook. I just took a few days to play and experiment at a smaller scale. I also read books and watched interviews of artists I admire like Tracey Emin and Cecily Brown. These are just the pieces that I fell in love with and maybe I'll use them for bigger paintings or maybe I won't. They are like diary entries that I want to keep safely within my sketchbook.
